We have stayed at 3 different Choice…

We have stayed at 3 different Choice Hotels, in 3 different cities in the last 10 days. One was worse than the next!!! This has been a horrible experience. We have stayed with choice many times in the past and had pretty decent experiences, not this time. We will NEVER stay at a choice hotel again!!

I had a confirmed reservation at a…Sleep Inn

I had a confirmed reservation at a Sleep Inn. I arrived at 1130 PM on Friday night with my family to discover the property was closed. Upon further research I learned the hotel has been shut down for 13 months!
All other chains in the town were fully booked that night and Choice’s solution was to put me in a Quality Inn at a higher price. After five calls to customer service I’m told all they can do is add a few thousand loyalty points to my account.
I am a Diamond member of Choice Privileges and this is the best they will do. I will be cashing in the points on my account for gift cards and NEVER staying at one of their properties again.
I cannot believe they booked me into an abandoned hotel and their solution was to try to charge me more to stay at a different hotel in the same chain. Pitiful!

The loyalty program is awful...

They frequently have promotions advertising if you meet certain criteria you will get one free night's stay. That is deceptive at best. I more than met at least one of the promotions--staying longer at each place than the minimum required. I got 5000 bonus points. The minimum required for one free night is 8000 points. Most require well in excess of 10,000 points. Thank you Choice for this promotion. It did not get me a free night. It got me at best 5/8 of a free night and likely far less.

Me and my husband are at econo Lodge…

Me and my husband are at econo Lodge inn & suites in Sweetwater Texas we rented room 105 the manager was very professional very kind the room is clean beautiful smells great and I recommend highly to anyone who is on the road or just needs a room to rent excellent and we would most definitely come back

Cancellation without a notice

Even made reservations one month before check in, they canceled our reservations on the check in day. Also we got confirmation and welcome email five days before arriving. Upon we arrived at hotel the front desk person informed us about cancellation. Literally they left us on the street. Have never got any kind of cancellation notice. Terrible experience.

Terrible company

Terrible company! They offer good deals, but half the time, their app doesn’t work right. I have made reservations before, and then for some reason the reservation doesn’t show up on the app, causing me to make another last minute reservation. When I figured out two reservations had been made because of this, I called choice hotels. They told me they couldn’t help and I needed to call the hotel directly. The hotel told me they couldn’t help and I needed to call choice hotels. Both told me I had made a non refundable reservation and no matter the reason, I would be charged. So $100 later, I refuse to use them ever again. And because the hotels refuse to assist in the matter even though choice hotels is promoting them, I go out of my way to no longer use hotel chains affiliated with them. The benefits aren’t worth it for the hassle and cost due to glitchy apps. No thank you, choice hotels!

I booked a room got charged doubled the price i have conformation of my 1 night stay and was told i stayed 2 nights which i never did so I called directly to hotel the manager got upset and wanted to argue i have proof in emails of our conversation saying that choice is the one that billed me now she told choice I stayed 2 nights because of a late check out which i did not. Decided to call directly to choice customer service didn't get no where after an hour of waiting on the line for them to tell me call directly to hotel to get it fixed. They are not helpful at all.

Front Desk Staff is Great!

Everyone that works the front desk is extremely nice, knowledgeable and helpful. Especially Yasmine. I came 2 her with a concern and she did everything possible rectify the problem and 2 ensure I walked away a happy customer.

Despite the negative reviews I had…

Despite the negative reviews I had read, I decided to reserve a room at the Clarion Inn Denver. Everything I had read was obviously incorrect. The staff is extremely nice, helpful & considerate. I have had no complaints so far, I have only had 1 negative issue & management went above & beyond to resolve it to my satisfaction. I especially enjoy dealing with the day shift that works the front desk. One of my favorite girls to deal with would have to be Yasmine, she is always smiling & makes you feel as if she genuinely cares about your happiness and comfort during your stay with them.

Had bugs in the bed in the refrigerator and they did not care

Had bugs in the bed in the refrigerator and the microwave had a dead trail of roaches on the floor the house keepers did not clean up they didn't honor the reservation i made just a bad place to book with

Terrible

I was kicked out from one of their hotels (Woodspring Suites Hilliard/Ohio) just because I wanted to file a complaint. The manager there conducted himself in an rude, abusive, dictatorial and intimidating way, JUST BECAUSE I WANTED TO COMPLAIN about something I considered unfair. I am not exaggerating, it was humiliating. This person is not fit to perform any customer-facing duties. Choice Hotels did absolutely nothing about it when I complained.

Housing the area’s homeless

Please call this hotel to confirm that the hotel is not being used as a homeless shelter. I find most choice hotels in the area are and the hotel is very hesitant or does not release this information. The Quality Inn in Orillia is being used as a homeless shelter. The Comfort Inn when asked was very hesitant to answer with an “I am not sure”, reply to the question. Which most likely means yes!
